MA NCC RYT
My therapeutic approach is dynamic and depends on the needs of each person. My experience in becoming a certified yoga instructor has taught me the importance of mind-body connection, which can play a significant role in the state of a person’s mental health. Approaching the client holistically, I analyze how sleep, diet, habits of physical movement, thought patterns, and relationships with others are all effecting a client’s progress. I enjoy using creative techniques to help clients dig deep and make sense of the root of their struggles. Then we can work together to implement healthy patterns to promote a fulfilling life. With a strengths-based approach and emphasis on personal growth, I practice unconditional acceptance for my clients while still holding them accountable towards meeting their goals. I welcome clients who are motivated to create healthy positive changes in their life. I see clients in person at both our East Petersburg and Lancaster locations, and also offer online therapy.
I believe every challenge we experience is an opportunity to strengthen ourselves and to enhance our self-awareness. Holding the belief that each of us are living for a unique purpose, I am delighted to help people find meaning in their difficult experiences. I feel passionate about aiding others in reaching their personal goals. In the therapist role, I aim to help my clients find a sense of empowerment from within, as it is up to us to tap into our full potential. I can help you with self-doubt and lack of confidence, everyday life stress, anxiety, depression, grief, substance use struggles, specialized issues regarding pregnancy and motherhood, and difficulties in relationships with others. I have completed the Level 1 and Level 2 trainings in Gottman Method Couples Therapy. My other areas of interest include managing stress throughout major life transitions and assisting young adults in creating fulfilling and balanced lives. I am DBT informed.
I was born and raised in central Pennsylvania and have lived here most of my life. I earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology at Duquesne University and a Master’s degree at Messiah University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Both of these institutions are affiliated religiously and I welcome spiritual integration in therapy through any and all forms. A sense of spirituality can add a meaningful layer to our journey. Currently, I am working towards licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of PA to help teens, and adults with their mental health concerns. Since I am not fully licensed yet, I do not accept insurance and only work with self pay clients.
