Michele Fry MA LPC

Making that first call for therapy can take so much courage. It is my desire to help people who are coming to therapy to not see themselves as “broken” or “needing fixed” but rather to help them recognize their areas of strength and to identify where the areas of growth may be. I believe that often people have their own answers they just aren’t sure how to put that into action to see the change they desire. We all just want to be seen, heard and understood, and I strive to create an environment in my office where this can happen. I have more than 23 years experience working with older adolescents and adults who are struggling with stress, depression, trauma including emotional, physical and sexual abuse, relationship issues, family of origin issues, adjustment to life transitions, grief & loss, and spiritual issues.  I see clients in person at our East Petersburg location, and also offer online therapy.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I earned my Master’s in counseling from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky, and graduated from The University of Arkansas with a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I am trained in EMDR and am certified in Trauma Focused-CBT. I grew up here in Lancaster, but moved away for college and graduate school, and started my counseling career in Texas before moving back home. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two daughters hiking, biking, kayaking, and traveling. I look forward to working with you to find a path to healing and health.
