My specialty has been primarily working with adults and young adults who have borderline personality disorder, traits of a personality disorder, or who generally struggle with feeling out of control of their emotions. I also do a lot of work with depression, anxiety, coping skills, boundaries, and interpersonal skills. My primary training is in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, but I often take an eclectic approach using whatever strategies are most supportive for my client’s needs. I work alongside my clients to feel more in control of their choices and emotional experiences while encouraging self-compassion and acceptance of where they are in the process of change. I see clients in person at our East Petersburg location, and offer online therapy.
I earned my M.S. in Clinical Psychology from Millersville University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I’ve worked in a variety of settings in the mental health field for over 10 years.
In addition to offering one-on-one counseling, I also run The Counseling Collective’s DBT Workshop each Spring and Fall. I’ve more recently begun a DBT Consultation group for The Counseling Collective’s clinicians to support them in learning effective DBT treatment and practices as well as to supervise clinicians in their clinical use of DBT.
I love the sense of community in Lancaster and feel privileged to serve its people. I enjoy spending my time outside with my dog Henry, reading, and playing tabletop games and board games. I look forward to working alongside you to accept who you are while encouraging the change you want to help you fulfill your personal goals.
